Blackberry Curve 9360 looks
RIMs latest offering is the Blackberry Curve 9360. Seductively designed with its petite, slender physique and generous polished metal embellishments, we can’t help but fall in love with it. Sensual sweeping curves gently unite to form the striking body of the Blackberry 9360.In line with the rest of its Blackberry Curve family, the 9360 comes with a full Qwerty keypad which comprises perfectly spaced apart, lozenge shaped buttons which enable an accurate and fast typing experience. With blue back lighten buttons and key features, the Blackberry 9360 looks like a very smart smartphone indeed.
Let’s not allow ourselves to be blinded by the stunning looks of the Blackberry Curve 9360 until we delve a little deeper to discover why this beauty is available under what seems a barely appropriate price tag.
Blackberry 9360 under the hood
Looking under the bonnet of the Blackberry Curve 9360, the device sports a 5MP camera with LED flash which snaps a decent picture and it shoots in VGA quality video. We don’t feel blown away by the camera but it’s by no means a disappointment.Blackberry 9360 Screen
The Blackberry Curve 9360 sports a 246dpi, HVGA resolution 2.4-inch display, not quite revolutionary yet quite admirable and more than sufficient. Disappointingly the screen of the Blackberry 9360 is not touch-sensitive, leaving navigation purely down to its optical track pad feature which is quite effective but still doesn’t quite suffice for touchscreen.Blackberry 9360 Processor
An 800MHz chip is the powerhouse of the Blackberry 9360, which we won’t claim is amazing in its own right, but for an entry level handset it certainly is sufficient. Let’s look at the new HTC Wildfire S for example – powered by a lethargic 600MHz chip and the handset cost about the same price! Blackberry OS 7 runs smoothly on its processor but using heavy websites or apps can be sluggish.Blackberry 9360 with NFC
The Blackberry 9360 NFC comes with NFC for fast, easy and secure payments. A future proof technology that has yet to be adopted by retailers before we can use it to buy things.Blackberry Messenger 6
